Join us in learning a new language online with the most experienced and inspiring teachers! We offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes with top qualified English Literature teachers in an exciting, interactive digital environment. In addition to excellent ESL classes, we also offer Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Greek, and many more. The earlier the better! We recommend students ages 3-10 as well as adult beginners to start working with a teacher who speaks both their native tongue and the target language. However, we recommend intermediate or advanced students to work with foreign English teachers. Ask us about any other language you desire to learn and we will accommodate you.
Jump right in the conversation in what we like to call something between a class and a party, and practice your English with our super fun English language group chats! Brush up on your skills with other learners moderated by an English teacher in a group setting to help keep your English skills sharp. We offer various levels, starting with basic conversational topics for travel, to intermediate and advanced levels to improve fluency and comprehension for those relocating to another country, or students studying a particular field such as biology, engineering, etc., and need help preparing their terminology and sentence structure for exams or classes abroad, as well as business English for professionals looking to be in command of business communications and meetings. A teacher is always present to kick off the topics, and correct grammatical errors while keeping the classes fun and energized!
Be the person who knows how to act and what to say on all occasions! Etiquette is much more than the formal manners and rules followed at social events or professional settings, such as knowing how to write a proper thank you note or having table manners. Etiquette defines, to a great degree, ours and our children's success in life; it establishes the behavior, way of thinking, professionalism and communication that allows us to be the best version of ourselves, and for others to treat us with respect. Pop Kids learn through the most enjoyable ways how to be winners in life by being friendly, considerate, respectful, and polite. Etiquette classes are also offered to adults who are interested in the form of seminars.
Our Lighting and Sound Design programs offer students conceptual, compositional and technical practices necessary for creating and integrating audio and lighting elements for any type of production. Learn how to master the tools needed to demonstrate a high level of technical and interpretive design and production skills sufficient to obtain professional positions in the performing arts. With these courses, you will be able to: demonstrate spoken and written critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills; an ability to enrich creative storytelling and take artistic risks; and an awareness and ability to engage with diverse communities as a theatre artist.
For the Lighting program, course topics include: lighting composition, plotting techniques, automated lighting, digital visualization and documentation, history of lighting and illumination, architectural lighting, verbal and visual presentation techniques, lighting technology, system design and consulting, and lighting business management.
Sound Design classes focus on developing the skills to read a script for its imagery, to develop an auditory environment for dramatic action, to plan a production, to explore the dramatic possibilities of sound, and to communicate ideas aurally and verbally. Particular attention is paid to the designer/director relationship in developing a production concept. Technical skills are developed in various classes.
Learn the basics of how to be the captain of any creative ship. Do you see yourself at the helm of a Broadway musical? Or perhaps dreaming of how to create exhilarating music videos? The Director is in charge of an entire production from start to finish. To be a Director means to go beyond just a great idea. A Director must have the skills to evaluate and develop ideas, articulate and inspire others with it, and guide a production to a fully developed realization. In this program, we teach you how to make difficult decisions, ask provocative questions, and the skills to guide a team of collaborators. Direction students learn how to be leaders and visionaries balancing specific production goals while inspiring collaborators to do their best work and seeking discoveries in the unknown. Our curriculum focuses on text analysis, execution of narrative vision, production process, and new play development. With the audience at the center of attention, Directors make sophisticated choices about style and form to create engaging, relevant productions.
